Metabolic profiling for studying chemotype variations in Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal fruits using GC-MS and NMR spectroscopy

Abstract

Eighty-two primary and secondary metabolites from the four chemotypes of Withania somnifera fruits were identified using NMR spectroscopy and GC-MS. Multivariate PCA on GC-MS and NMR revealed clear distinctions in the primary and secondary metabolites among the chemotypes.
