Bioactive polyketides isolated from agar-supported fermentation of Phomopsis sp. CMU-LMA, taking advantage of the scale-up device, Platotex

► We investigated the cultivation of Phomopsis sp. on agar-supported fermentation (Ag-SF). ► Cultivation was conducted on a scale-up device developed in our laboratory, the Platotex. ► We isolated nine compounds from the culture, three are new and six were reported in a previous work. ► One compound inhibits the Escherichia coli DnaG primase, a Gram-negative antimicrobial target.
