Abstract
⺠Two poplar UDP-glycosyl transferases (UGTs) were cloned and biochemically analyzed. ⺠PTUGT78L1 transfers galactose to flavonols and cyanidin, like other Group F UGTs. ⺠P. trichocarpa contains 171 glycosyl transferase genes including candidates for genes involved in proanthocyanidin synthesis.
