Abstract
⺠Structures of very-long-chain alkanediols and their monoacetates were identified. ⺠These were localized in cuticular waxes covering the petal surfaces of Cosmos bipinnatus. ⺠Their tissue surface coverage was quantified. ⺠Monoacetate isomers despite potential interconversion were distinguished and quantified.
