Abstract
Five steroidal saponins never described previously, Magueyosides A-E, were isolated from the flowers of Agave offoyana. Their structures were determined by NMR spectroscopy, HR-FAB-MS, and chemical methods. Their phytotoxic effects on Lactuca sativa were evaluated.
