Abstract
⺠The mycobiont of Physcia kalbii was aposymbiotically cultivated. ⺠The mycobiont has a branched β-(1 â 3),(1 â 6)-glucan. ⺠The mycobiont has a glucomannan, which could be typical of the Physciaceae.
