Abstract
► The first phytochemical investigation on the bark of Ficus elastica aerial roots. ► Three compounds and nine known compounds were obtained. ► Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. ► The growth inhibitory effect was evaluated against microorganisms and cancer cells. ► Compounds 1 and 3 showed remarkable antibacterial activities.
