Abstract
► The phytochemical profile of Xiphidium caeruleum flowers was studied by LC-SPE-NMR. ► The metabolites present in the flowers were found to differ to other plant parts. ► Five phenylphenalenone-type compounds were identified or the first time. ► First report of phenalenones and flavonoids co-occurring in the Haemodoraceae.
