Abstract
⺠The genome of Physcomitrella patens contains a small-size SABATH family with four members. ⺠PpSABATH1, one of the four SABATH proteins from P. patens, catalyzes the S-methylation of thiols. ⺠Overexpression of PpSABATH1 in tobacco led to enhanced tolerance to thiobenzoic acid.
