Abstract
⺠Two chemotypes of Tephrosia vogelii characterised by presence or absence of rotenoids. ⺠Chemotype 2 lacks rotenoids but contains five new flavanones and a new dihydroflavonol. ⺠More than 20% field-collected specimens in Malawi were non-pesticidal chemotype 2. ⺠Some field-grown material incorrectly designated as Tephrosia candida instead of T. vogelii. ⺠Flavonoid profiling of T. candida herbarium material revealed many new glycosides.
