Abstract
⺠Phytotoxic effects of Flourensia campestris was investigated ⺠Aq. leaf extracts showed strong inhibition on germination and growth of L.sativa. ⺠The principal phytocompound isolated was (â)-hamanasic acid A. ⺠Leaf essential oils did not display phytotoxicity and volatiles were characterized. ⺠High stores and release of 1 strongly suggest its role as allelochemical.
