Abstract
⺠Constituents of stem bark of Garcinia bracteata were investigated. ⺠Thirty one xanthones were isolated from the EtOH extract, five hitherto unknown. ⺠A hypothetical biosynthetic pathway linking 1-4 was presumed. ⺠The growth inhibitory activities of the isolated compounds were measured in vitro. ⺠A preliminary structure-activity relationship was discussed.
