Abstract
⺠α-Santalol derivatives were isolated from Santalum album heartwood. ⺠Fourteen compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against HL-60 and TIG-3cells. ⺠(9S,10E)-9-hydroxy-α-santalal showed tumor selective cytotoxicity. ⺠It also induced caspase-dependent apoptotic cell death in HL-60 cells.
