Abstract
⺠Cytosolic HPPK/DHPS has a possible folate-independent role in Arabidopsis. ⺠Gene over-expression resulted in higher germination rate under stress conditions confirming its role in stress tolerance. ⺠Cytosolic HPPK/DHPS expression during stress suggests a potential role for pterins in plant stress response.
