Abstract
► Fifty five compounds were isolated from the leaves of Castanopsis fissa. ► Chemotaxonomically important hexahydroxydiphenoyl ester of triterpenes and a phenolic pigment were isolated. ► C. fissa is a rich source of galloyl quinic acids and triterpene hexahydroxydiphenoyl esters. ► Lipase inhibition activities and ORAC values of the major constituents were compared.
