Abstract
⺠Bioassay guided isolation of withanolide-type steroids from Tunisian Datura metel. ⺠The withanolide, 12α-hydroxydaturametelin B, inhibited the growth of cancer cell lines. ⺠Withanolides from Datura block colon cancer cells in S-phase and induced apoptosis.
