Abstract
⺠Anthriscus sylvestris is a candidate plant to provide a source of podophyllotoxin. ⺠Nine lignans and five related compounds were identified in the root extract. ⺠A biosynthetic pathway of aryltetralin lignans in A. sylvestris is proposed.
