Abstract
⺠Dianthus inoxianus flowers emit scent throughout the night and the day. ⺠D.inoxianus floral scent is dominated by 2-ketones and (E,E)-farnesol. ⺠D.inoxianus nectar scent is dominated by Benzaldehyde and Phenylacetaldehyde. ⺠2-Ketones and sesquiterpenoids elicit electroantennographic responses Hyles livornica. ⺠2-Ketones emission is boosted by mechanical damage.
