Abstract
⺠We examined the reaction mechanism of Sorghum terpene synthases SbTPS1 and SbTPS2. ⺠The deprotonation reaction determines the different product specificity of SbTPS1/2. ⺠The pyrophosphate group probably acts as proton donor.
