Abstract
⺠Twenty monoterpene acid glucose esters have been described from Eucalyptus in recent years. ⺠All include the α,β-unsaturated monoterpenoids oleuropeic acid and menthiafolic acid. ⺠Some exhibit anti-tumor, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial activity. ⺠Cytotoxicity, bitterness and repellency are suggestive of a role in plant defence. ⺠Localization to isolatable secretory cavities will facilitate future research.
