Abstract
⺠Cell walls of fern leaves can be xyloglucan or mannan-rich. ⺠Adiantum raddianum methylation shows mannan as major fraction of hemicelluloses. ⺠Wall composition of a group of fern species support hypothesis of a Type III wall in plants.
