Abstract
⺠Sterol binding by nystatin increases membrane permeability in wheat roots. ⺠Dynamic light-scattering confirms the formation of complexes nystatin/phytosterols. ⺠Nystatin causes depletion of major phytosterols β-sitosterol and campesterol. ⺠Short-term nystatin treatment increases glycoceramide content and changes ratio of their molecular species.
