Abstract
⺠Related Acacia species were chemically dissimilar. ⺠Acacia grandicornuta was chemically most dissimilar from other species. ⺠Amongst the species studied, chemical defenses were significantly better expressed in the absence of spinescens. ⺠The evergreen and unpalatable Euclea divinorum had a high myricitrin concentration.
