Abstract
⺠Forty five phenolic compounds were isolated from the rhizomes of Smilax corbularia. ⺠Eleven compounds were characterized their structures as new compounds. ⺠Flavanonol rhamnosides showed anti-estrogenic activity at a concentration of 1 μM. ⺠Acetates of flavanonol rhamnoside exhibited estrogenic activity at 100 μM.
