Abstract

âº An optimized technique for the purification of mycosporines and MAAs in lichens. âº Detection and identification of mycosporines using HPTLC and -HPLC-DAD-MS. âº Lichens appear to be a great reservoir of mycosporines. âº Mycosporines and MAAs are investigated in cyanolichens series. âº Mycosporine hydroxyglutamicol is here described for the first time.
