Abstract
► α-Pinene and α-bisabolol are the major constituents of the essential oil. ► The oil is mainly active against Tricophyton mentagrophytes and Microsporum gypseum. ► The activity is especially due to 3,5-nonadiyne and jaeschkeanadiol benzoate. ► A jaeschkeanadiol benzoate rich fraction, more active than amphotericin B and nystatin. ► 13C NMR data of jaeschkeanadiol angelate are reported for the first time.
