Abstract
⺠α-Pinene and α-bisabolol are the major constituents of the essential oil. ⺠The oil is mainly active against Tricophyton mentagrophytes and Microsporum gypseum. ⺠The activity is especially due to 3,5-nonadiyne and jaeschkeanadiol benzoate. ⺠A jaeschkeanadiol benzoate rich fraction, more active than amphotericin B and nystatin. ⺠13C NMR data of jaeschkeanadiol angelate are reported for the first time.
