Abstract
⺠Bioassay-guided isolation was performed on Apodytes dimidiata E. Mey. Ex Arn. ⺠Six saponins never isolated from nature before were identified with MS and NMR. ⺠These apodytines are responsible at least in part for the antiprotozoal activity. ⺠They also possess haemolytic activity. ⺠They display antiangiogenic activity, which may be due to a non-selective toxicity.
