Abstract
► Bioassay-guided isolation was performed on Apodytes dimidiata E. Mey. Ex Arn. ► Six saponins never isolated from nature before were identified with MS and NMR. ► These apodytines are responsible at least in part for the antiprotozoal activity. ► They also possess haemolytic activity. ► They display antiangiogenic activity, which may be due to a non-selective toxicity.
