Abstract
⺠Synthesis of (±)-licarin, its resolution and antiparasitary activity. ⺠(±)-Licarin A was resolved by chiral HPLC furnishing its (â) and (+) enantiomers. ⺠Schistosomicidal and trypanocidal activities were studied in vitro. ⺠For Shistosoma mansoni (±)-licarin was the most active. ⺠For Trypanosoma cruzi (â)-licarin was the most active.
