Abstract
⺠Seven gypenosides GC1 to GC7 were isolated from Gynostemma pentaphyllum. ⺠Gypenoside GC1 to GC7 structures were elucidated by analysis of 1D and 2D NMR spectra and chemical degradation. ⺠Gypenosides GC1 to GC7 are 2α,3β,12β,20(S)-dammarane-types (PPD-2-ol). ⺠Gymnemaside VI is reported from Gynostemma pentaphyllum for the first time.
