Abstract
Daidzein (1) and genistein (4), isolated from Pueraria thomsonii (Fabaceae) have neurocytoprotective effects against 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA)-induced cytotoxicity in nerve growth factor (NGF)-differentiated PC12 cells. They were effective in blocking the early and late apoptotic protective mechanisms against 6-OHDA-induced neurocytotoxicity.
