Abstract
⺠The plant signal transduction field has evolved rapidly in the last decade. ⺠Major contributing factors are the advances in (phospho)proteomics methodology. ⺠Quantitative approaches allow large-scale identification of putative signaling events. ⺠Tyrosine phosphorylation is shown to be an integral part of plant signal transduction. ⺠Phosphotyrosine signaling in plants and animals evolved along different lines.
