Abstract
⺠Molecular studies in trees are almost insignificant if compared with herbaceous plant species. ⺠Proteomics technology approaches have been recently incorporated to forest tree research. ⺠Forest tree proteomics combines the difficulty of both woody plants and proteins as experimental system and molecules of study, respectively. ⺠Proteomics research in woody plants is limited to a reduced number of genera, including Pinus, Picea, Populus, Eucalyptus, and Fagus.
