Abstract
⺠Plocamium suhrii produces a number of unusual halogenated monoterpenes based on a regular monoterpene skeleton. ⺠These compounds show moderate in vitro cytotoxicity toward esophageal cancer cells. ⺠Selected halogenated monoterpenes isolated from South African Plocamium spp may be used as taxonomic markers.
