Abstract
Ten-membered macrocyclic polydisulfides, trans-3,3â²-dihydroxy-1,5,1â²,5â²-tetrathiacyclodecane (1) and its 3â²-epimer (2), were isolated from the mangrove Bruguiera gymnorrhiza. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods and confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. A possible biogenetic origin was also proposed.
