Abstract
Six monoterpene glycosides and a flavone glycoside were isolated from Monarda punctata. Carvacrol, one of the essential oil components of M. punctata, was obtained as a mouse lipase inhibitor, which depressed the elevation of blood TG levels in olive oil-loaded mice.
