Abstract
Brachypodium distachyon has been promoted as a model plant for grasses. This report describes composition of cell walls in developing seedlings, comparing with Hordeum vulgare and Triticum aestivum. High similarity was observed, but differences related to the cross-linking ability of arabinoxylan were observed.
