Abstract
From the EtOAc extract of the leaves of Markhamialutea, three cycloartane triterpenoids, musambins A-C, have been isolated together with their corresponding 3-O-xylosides, musambiosides A-C. These compounds were weakly or not cytotoxic, musambin C was moderately antiplasmodial and musambin B displayed important invitro anti-trypanosomal activity.
