Abstract
Five glycosides, belonging to cinnamoyloxy hemiterpenes (1-2), p-coumaroyl (3), 4-methoxycinnamoyl (4) and kaempferol (7), along with six known compounds were isolated from the whole plant of Spiraea canescens. Some of these compounds showed a potent radical scavenging activity in relevant non-physiological assays.
