Abstract
A metalloanthocyanin, cyanosalvianin, was found in the blue petals of Salvia uliginosa. Cyanosalvianin consisted of six molecules of anthocyanin, six molecules of flavone and two atoms of Mg2+ and has a similar structure to that of commelinin.
