Abstract
C-glycosyl flavones, kurilensin A (1) and B (2), together with two known compounds, tricin-4â²-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (3) and tricin-5-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (4), were isolated from hot-water extracts of the leaves of Sasa kurilensis. Compounds 1 and 2 exhibited higher radical scavenging activity than ascorbic acid in the 1,1-diphenyl-2-pycrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay system.
