Abstract
Rapeseed embryos are a model system for studying plant metabolism. In steady state 13C-feeding experiments, metabolic fluxes are determined using measurements of labeling in metabolic end-products. Using previously measured flux values, this criterion-based optimal design study determines substrate label combinations that provide the highest possible information content.
