Abstract
The protective efficacies of salicylic acid and Iodus 40 on the wheat/powdery mildew interaction are described and compared with those of heptanoyl salicylic acid and trehalose. The partial, distinct and non-overlapping biological activities of these resistance inducers on reactive oxygen species metabolism and lipid peroxidation are discussed.
