Abstract
A tricin acylated glycoside was isolated from sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) juice. The antioxidant activity of tricin derivative was evaluated through the DPPH and β-carotene/linoleic acid system assays. It showed in vitro antiproliferative activity against several human cancer cell lines, with higher selectivity toward cells of the breast resistant NIC/ADR line.
