Abstract
p-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) is a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of prenyl quinones and tocopherol, and is the target site of β-triketone herbicides. Manuka oil and its β-triketone components were tested for their herbicidal activity and their potency against HPPD.
