Abstract
(3R,4R)-(â)-6-methoxy-3,4-dihydro-3-n-pentil-4-acethoxy-1H-2-benzopyran-1-one (1), isolated from the Brazilian species Xyris pterygoblephara, showed potent in vitro antifungal activity against clinical isolates of the dermatophytes Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Trichophyton rubrum.
