Abstract
The antioxidant activity assay-guided chemical analysis of Eysenhardtia subcoriacea allowed the isolation of the new compound named subcoriacin together with known flavan-3-ols as bioactive constituents. Subcoriacin, (+)-catechin, (â)-epicatechin and afzelechin improved the reduced glutathione levels with rat pancreatic homogenate.
