Abstract
A cacalolide derivative named 4α-[2â²-hydroxymethylacryloxy]-1β-hydroxy-14-(5-6)abeo eremophilan-12,8-olide and a shikimic acid derivative named (3â²E)-(1α)-3-hydroxymethyl-4β, 5α-dimethoxycyclohex-2-enyloctadec-3â²-enoate together with three known compounds were isolated from Senecio burtonii.
