Abstract
Four dihydrochalcones were isolated from the leaves of Piper hostmannianum var. berbicense with the known dihydrochalcones 2â²,6â²-dihydroxy-4â²-methoxydihydrochalcone, adunctin E and (â)-methyllinderatin together with linderatone and strobopinin. All isolated compounds were evaluated for their antiplasmodial and cytotoxic activities against Plasmodium falciparum and MCF-7 cells.
