Abstract
A sesquiterpene and a tetrahydroxylated acyclic diterpene were isolated from Malva silvestris. The structures of the compounds were determined by spectroscopic NMR and MS analyses. Their effects on germination and growth of Lactuca sativa L. have been studied in the concentration range 10â4-10â7Â M.
