Abstract
Catalytic cracking of polypropylene (PP) has been investigated over MCM-41 modified by Zr and Mo. The relationship among structure, acidity and catalytic activity of Zr–Mo-MCM-41 was studied. The results showed that Zr–Mo-MCM-41 exhibited high activity for the cracking of PP and good selectivity for producing liquid hydrocarbons of higher carbon numbers. The results were compared with those obtained over HZSM-5, SiO2–Al2O3 and other MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieves. Moreover, the effect of different Zr sources on the reaction was examined.
